Our client is a Japanese company with 40.000 employees working at 24 offices worldwide. The Haarlem site employs 180 people, they work for all countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia. For them we are searching for a Manager Quality Assurance (QA)


The objectives of the QA Department refer to the processes of conducting tests on products and processes to enhance employee's safety and customer's safety and satisfation. The QA Manager is a key person in the organization, being the interface between all departments with respect to quality issues. The Manager Quality Assurance is, as department manager, responsible for leading the QA department as well as contributing to the design, Kaizen, implementation, communication and coordination of all quality programs for the company. The position will also contribute to the development and provision of technical and administrative direction on all quality decisions.

Your tasks

  • Manage investigations and reports on Customers Quality Complaints
  • Devising and establishing company’s quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Set up test protocols for products quality purposes
  • Proficient in reading and writing of technical manuals
  • Set up and maintain calibration for quality purpose
  • Set up and maintain control and documentation procedures
  • Manage and approve records of quality measurements
  • Design and improve processes
  • Execute quality audits
  • Inform colleagues about quality systems and quality conscious acting
  • Meet and maintain quality targets, control quality KPI’s

Your responsibilities
  • Train management staff in Quality Concepts
  • Support of technical writing work instructions and procedures for all departments
  • Work with others to define, develop and track the implementation of Quality Initiatives
  • Manage team meetings to chain root cause and corrective action on customer complaints
  • Be a thought leader in Quality Management for the organization

In this role you manage a team of 4 lab members, you report to the senior Manager QHSE QA

Functie eisen

  • HBO / Bachelors Degree with a background in Quality Systems (ISO9001)
  • Experience in customer quality complaints, both resolving and reporting, in a lab environment
  • Experience in Management of Change Programs, and KAIZEN/Six Sigma problem solving methology
  • Experience in closed-loop corrective action (CLCA) processes resulting in process improvements
  • Experience in applied statistics and an aptitude for analysis
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills on all levens
  • Independent, professional and self starting
  • Analytical skills
