Our client is the global leader in civil engineering. Operating in various markets worldwide, they have a presence in 60 countries. For them we are searching for a QHSSE Business Partner Europe & Africa.

In this new role as QHSSE Business Partner Land you play pivotal role in ensuring that QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security & Environment) resources are effectively utilized, projects are appropriately staffed, and both organizational and business QHSSE goals are achieved. The Land business line focuses on onshore projects and employs approximately 3.700 people across Europe and Africa.
You report to the Businessline Manager Land and maintain a functional line to the Regional QHSSE Manager Europe & Africa. You join the Land Leadership Team and the QHSSE Management Team Europe & Africa. This role is based at the headquarters in Leidschendam (moving to Nootdorp in 2025), with 30% travel.

Your responsibilities are:

• Gain a deep understanding of the Land business activities to provide valuable advice and guidance on QHSSE matters.
  
• Oversee and manage a team of 10 project QHSSE professionals across the Europe & Africa region.
  
• Collaborate with service line directors and project teams, ensuring compliance with QHSSE regulations and company policies.
  
• Act as the key contact for all QHSSE-related topics, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of QHSSE excellence.
  
• Build and maintain a high-performing team by promoting collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement and ensuring the team has the necessary resources and training.
  
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation and implement best practices.
  
• Analyze QHSSE data and trends to pinpoint areas for improvement and create action plans to address them. Deliver reports on resource utilization and QHSSE performance metrics to the business and relevant service lines.
  

Functie eisen

• A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety or Quality management, completed with HVK, Nebosh Diploma ).
  
• Minimal 5 years experience in a similar project-leadership role within an international project-based organization.
  
• Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate teams
  
• Ability to deliver training and awareness programs to foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
  
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
