Our client is a manufacturer of oils and fluids mainly for the automotive after market. Worldwide they have 51.000 employees and 1.700 locations. Within their subsidary they have a Group of 5 facilities: in NL, Germany, Italy and the UK. From their production location in the Netherlands they serve customers in more Europe. The NL facility in Delft fills, labels and stores special oils, they employ 50 people. For this facility we are looking for a Quality, Health & Safety Specialist.

Functieomschrijving

As Quality, Health & Safety Specialist you are part of the Quality Management & Compliance (QMC) team of the Group. Located at the facility in the Netherlands you will be responsible upholding the standards according to the national legislation on QHS. You create risk awareness and assesses the use of set requirements within the organization by management and employees. You report to the Manager Quality Management & Compliance who is based in Germany.

Quality

• Prepare and support ISO9001 certification; contact person for certification agencys; perform management review
  
• Conduct internal audits. Preparation for customer audits. Perform supplier audits
  
• Manage and process change actions in cooperation with business process owners; Root Cause Analysis; Solution finding and follow-up; Initiate Lessons Learned
  
• Creatie new and review of existing QMS documents
  
• Monitor quality in relation to products and their components; indiciation of corrective actions
  
• Permanent monitoring of production through continuous quality walks
  
• Verify and monitor the measuring tools to be used; search for suitable new measuring tools
  
• Participation in the implementation and realization of new quality tools/quality systems
  
• Verification of compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards; initiation of actions in case of non-compliance or changes
  
• Create reports and statistics for line managers and local managers
  

Health & Safety

• Reporting of key figures (e.g. accident statistics) to HQ
  
• Initiate actions to raise safety awareness (training, announcements, briefings)
  
• Register and investigate incidents and take corrective action
  
• Carry out safety audits and inspections; recording non-conformities and initiate corrective measures and monitor them to ensure they are effectively eliminated
  

Emergency Response

• Head of Emergency Response team
  
• Emergency response plan
  
• Emergency & first aid trainings
  
• Emergency drills & exercises
  
• Fire & evacuation installation checks
  

Environment

• Safe handling of chemicals with regard to storage, use, proper disposal, recycling
  
• Initiate actions to raise environmental awareness (training, announcements, briefings, etc.); participate in toolbox meetings
  
• Checking all areas for current or possible contamination; contract review;
  
• Cooperation with external agencies for compliance with regulations, e.g. ODMH
  
• Actualize energy saving list and track changes
  
• Create reports and statistics for line managers and local managers
  

Sustainability & Compliance

• Participate in and launch sustainability initiatives
  
• Review of compliance with quality issues
  
• Monitoring of conformity with REACH, CMRT, CP65, ADR, PGS

Functie eisen

• Bachelor Degree
  
• At least 3 years HSEQ experience in a manufacturing/chemical environment
  
• Knowledge of and working experience in ISO9001
  
• Knowledge of PGS15, REACH and ADR and (storing and transportation of) hazardous goods is preferred
  
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal as writing
